Rabbits and pigeons particularly are a major problem worldwide and are responsible for up to £100 million worth of damage a year in UK agriculture alone. Most damage is caused to cereals, but they also eat grass and can ruin a grass ley during establishment.
10 rabbits eat an equivalent amount as 1 sheep!
Grazers is an effective solution to an enormous problem on farms. In a very competitive market it is imperative to maximise returns from every hectare. Grazers is not only effective against damage in any crop it also repairs damage, and grows crops ie. cereals, grasses and brassicas, above munchable height.
Grazers can be sprayed at any growth stage effectively from early crop emergence, though it lasts longest while the crop is actively growing eg. spring/early summer and early autumn.
Where pigeons are the main problem the whole field requires treatment which on a large field obviously has cost implications. We are therefore in the process of introducing a 50 acre (5 litre) product specifically aimed at helping to address pigeon damage more cost effectively.
Hardy Nursery Stock: Grazers can be sprayed safely to the foliage, on any crop, and is effective during the growing season for up to 6 weeks. In nursery situations, due to the vast range of different plant types, some varieties may be more at risk from repeat damage earlier than others, and it is recommended to try on a small area first.
